Booker Vineyards Celebrates Perfect Scores and “Benchmark” Classification from Leading Wine Critic

Booker Vineyard has reached a remarkable milestone, earning its highest accolades ever in leading wine critic Jeb Dunnuck’s annual Paso Robles Report. The recognition includes perfect 100-point scores for two Booker wines, the 2024 Fracture and 2023 ONES Syrah.

“These latest Booker releases are flat-out sensational, and I think clearly the finest lineup as a whole I've tasted from them, including two perfect wines,” said Dunnuck. “Pete Turrone (Director of Winemaking) and Molly Lonborg (Senior Winemaker) have done incredible work here, and tasting the 2023 ONES Syrah and the all-Syrah 2024 Fracture side by side literally stopped me in my tracks.”

The wines scored by Dunnuck in the report include:

The report also marked another major achievement for Booker, with Dunnuck introducing a new classification system for Paso Robles, naming Booker one of only four wineries to earn the five-star “Benchmark” classification, the highest ranking in the system.

These milestones are more than 20 years in the making. Since the inaugural 2005 vintage, Booker founder Eric Jensen has pursued his vision of crafting progressive Rhône-style wines from the vineyard he personally planted in the Willow Creek District. The vineyard has been nurtured with care, transparency, and patience from the beginning, a journey that led to organic CCOF certification in 2021 and regenerative organic ROC certification in 2023. The 2024 vintage wines recognized by Dunnuck come from this vineyard.

This recognition is a proud moment for Booker and a celebration of the people, place, and passion behind these exceptional wines.
