Anaheim, Calif. (JANUARY 16, 2019)— Ballast Point Brewing Company®, a pioneer in the California craft brewer scene, famous for its signature Sculpin IPA and Grapefruit Sculpin and dedicated to quality and reinterpreted beers, officially opens the Ballast Point Brewpub at Downtown Disney® District at the Disneyland® Resort today. This brewpub marks the first-ever brewery at Downtown Disney® District – providing a prime travel destination for SoCal locals and globe-trotting beer enthusiasts alike. The family-friendly spot offers more than fifty styles of Ballast Point’s adventurous beer across 100 tap lines with a menu that will excite the entire family.
“Ballast Point is born and raised in Southern California, so we’re particularly excited to strengthen our relationship with the local Anaheim community and beyond this, the many guests who visit Disneyland each year,” said Ben Dollard, president of Ballast Point. “This new location also gives our passionate brewing and culinary teams the perfect place to test new and inventive offerings, as we welcome longtime Ballast Point fans and introduce new guests to our brand.”
The new space boasts a beautiful 4,000 sq. ft. glass-enclosed bar and restaurant in addition to a 3,000 sq. ft. outdoor beer garden featuring cabana-style seating and a family-friendly atmosphere – perfect for guests of all ages to enjoy. The main taproom offers seating for 220, along with several semi-private and private spaces, perfect for group events of any size.

About the Beer
Led by Anaheim Brewing Managers, Chris Klein and Andrew McGregor, the new brewpub features an on-site three-barrel brewing system which will support limited-edition R&D brews exclusive to the Downtown Disney® District location, along with Ballast Point favorites like flagship Sculpin IPA, Fathom IPA and Victory at Sea. From grain to glass, Ballast Point is dedicated to the craft and producing high-quality brews, from selecting raw materials to the brewing process, which includes 300-plus quality testing touchpoints.
About the Food
In addition to the brand’s iconic beers, guests can enjoy a variety of menu offerings curated by Ballast Point’s new Executive Sous Chef, Joey Lerma. The menu will offer a mix of Southern California staples, including popular dishes such as Baja-style fish tacos and a house-made pretzel with beer mustard, in addition to gluten-free and vegetarian options. Committed to creating an experience the whole family can enjoy, the taproom will also offer a children’s menu that includes kid-friendly favorites like Crispy Chicken Tenders, Corn Tortilla Quesadilla and Grilled Cheese. Ballast Point will donate $1 for every kid’s meal ordered at the Downtown Disney® District location to No Kid Hungry, a national organization providing children with nutritious food options in an effort to end child hunger.
With the addition of the Anaheim location, Ballast Point will have nine tasting rooms nationwide, including those in San Diego and Long Beach, Virginia and Chicago. Coming spring 2019, a brewery and kitchen will open in San Francisco – its first in Northern California. The brewpubs create an opportunity for people to experience the brand in a new and different way.
The Ballast Point brewpub at Downtown Disney® District will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to midnight and is located at 1540 S. Disneyland Drive in Anaheim.
