First released nearly two decades ago, The Prisoner, a red blend unbound from the shackles of traditional winemaking, emerged in its first vintage as a force that quickly and permanently changed Americans’ perceptions about California wine. Today, The Prisoner Wine Company is redefining the traditional winery tasting experience with its first-ever property on Napa Valley’s famed Highway 29. The tasting lounge offers an innovative and elevated experience through its array of wine tastings options, sensory garden and The Makery. Designed by architect Matt Hollis and interior designer Richard von Saal, the destination is set apart by its 57-feet long vaulted cathedral glass ceiling, reclaimed wood fixtures from the original Bay Bridge and custom furnishings reimagined from various origins. The property showcases The Prisoner Wine Company’s core portfolio of intriguing blends, as well as a selection of winery-exclusive offerings, including a sparkling wine, Chenin Blanc and Charbono. The property is located at 1178 Galleron Rd, St Helena, CA 94574.
