Contributions to the American Red Cross, Napa Valley Foundation and Sonoma County Resilience Fund help provide food, shelter and other needed assistance to local residents directly impacted by the fires
VICTOR, N.Y., Oct. 8, 2020 – Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ and STZ.B), a leading beverage alcohol company, in partnership with a number of its iconic wine brands, announced today it is providing more than $100,000 in support to several organizations providing much needed aid to local residents impacted by the California wildfires, including the American Red Cross, Napa Valley Community Foundation and Sonoma County Resilience Fund.
“The devastation caused by the wildfires that have broken out across the western part of the country are heartbreaking and we extend our thoughts and prayers to those impacted as well as the emergency responders working to contain the fires and keep people safe,” said Bill Newlands, president and chief executive officer of Constellation Brands. “Thankfully, all Constellation employees are safe and accounted for and none of our wineries or vineyards have been threatened or directly impacted by the wildfires. Our brands and company have a long history of supporting the communities where we live and work, and we hope that our contribution will help provide some much-needed relief in the response and recovery efforts.”
Constellation and several of its wine brands partnered to collectively contribute a total of $100,000 to the American Red Cross, Napa Valley Community Foundation and Sonoma County Resilience Fund. The Prisoner Wine Co., SIMI, Robert Mondavi Winery, Mount Veeder Winery, Meiomi and Empathy Wines are also engaging consumers through nationwide direct-to-consumer programs enabling wine-country lovers everywhere to join the relief efforts and support the communities most directly impacted by the wildfires.
In addition, Constellation is offering a two-to-one match for all employee donations made to the above-mentioned organizations through October.
