CSR Reporting

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been woven into our culture and core values at Constellation Brands since we began doing business in 1945. We have a responsibility to care for the land, people, and communities where we live and work. Operating responsibly is important to us, and not just because it is the right thing to do. It helps us operate more efficiently and minimize our resource use.

As an agriculture-based company, we recognize that changes in quantity and/or quality of our water supply can have far-reaching and extended impacts. This is why at Constellation, we believe it is imperative to collectively champion the responsible use of water to reduce the risk to our operations and local communities. Our dedication to water stewardship is embodied in our Water Policy, which asks employees to consider both the short and long-term impacts on the water source and the watershed community when making business decisions.

Responsible Advertising and Marketing

At Constellation, we take social responsibility very seriously. Our Code of Responsible Practices for Advertising and Marketing provides the fundamental framework for responsible brand advertising and marketing that ensures our messages are directed at legal, drinking-age consumers.

We also take a collaborative approach to promoting responsible drinking efforts, and are involved in a number of initiatives that address the societal impact of the misuse of beverage alcohol. As members of the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility, we help in the fight to eliminate drunk driving and underage drinking and to promote responsible decision-making regarding beverage alcohol. We are also a proud member of Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management (TEAM) Coalition, an alliance that promotes responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at sports and entertainment facilities.

Public Affairs

There are many aspects of government and politics that impact our company, employees and brands. Like many businesses, our company participates in the political process, in a bipartisan manner and at every level of government – federal, state and local – to support candidates, regardless of political affiliation, who represent the interests of our beverage alcohol industry.

We engage in public policy advocacy on issues that impact our business, and work with our government representatives to advocate for the best interests of our company, employees, consumers, investors and our industry.

All of Constellation’s advocacy and political activities comply within federal, state and local laws. We are committed to best practices, which ensure the health of our brands and our industry.

Suppliers

We hold all of our employees, officers, and directors accountable to the highest principles of business conduct and we expect the same of our suppliers. We strongly encourage suppliers to exceed the requirements of our Supplier Code of Conduct and to promote best practices and continuous improvement throughout their operations and supply chain.
